You have probably heard about the Ketogenic Diet, also called the Keto Diet. In fact, in 2019 it was the most popular diet among millennials, with a total of 31.1% expressing an interest in trying it out. But what is the Keto Diet really about, and does it live up to its hype, if you want to maintain a sustainable weight loss or lifestyle change?
In this article we will start by describing the main characteristics of the Keto Diet. Then, we will give you an overview of the types of food you are allowed to eat on the diet, and which you are not. We will end this article by assessing whether the Keto Diet is worth a try, and by explaining what researches are saying about the effectiveness of the diet.

2 cup Greek yogurt
1 piece Cucumber, sliced
0,5 tsp Dill, chopped
7 tsp Garlic, minced
1 pound Flank steak
3 tbsp Olive oil
2 tsp Dried oregano
2 tbsp Lemon juice
4 piece Pita bread, whole wheat
1) To make sauce, add yogurt, half of the cucumber, dill and half the garlic to blender and pulse until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning. Cover and chill.
2) Marinate steak with olive oil, remaining garlic, oregano, salt, pepper and lemon juice in a resealable bag. Leave for a couple of minutes.
3) Heat pan to medium-high heat. Cook steak for 6-8 minutes on each side. Transfer steak to a cutting board and slice thinly. Meanwhile, warm the pita bread according to package directions.
4) To assemble, layer the warm pita with sliced meat, onion, remaining cucumber, tomato, bell pepper, parsley and tzatziki.
